A while back I wrote a post with a list of the top 10 open source programs, however I got a lot of negative comments and emails regarding the list and its accuracy, although some were positive. I know many people’s Top 10 list will look totally different than this, however, I’ve talked to many people and this is as accurate I can get it to be. And even with this list many people stilll will not agree, but please no more negativity, just say the way you would have listed it. (more…)

Many have played around with the firefox 2.0 release candidate but now its officially in the beta stage. Here is a whole list of whats new in this release of firefox 2.0 beta.

• Built in Phishing Protection.
• Search suggestions now appear with search history in the search box for Google, Yahoo! and Answers.com
• Changes to tabbed browsing behavior

Microsoft has just recently posted the download link for their new upcoming operating system for free, which is the beta 2 that is for the general community who are willing to download the 3.2 gigabyte file. The servers were down almost all of yesterday, and today seem to be running smooth. I just downloaded my copy today, took me about 2 and a half hours to download, but haven’t installed it yet.
I also recently downloaded Microsoft’s new Office 2007 beta 2, which seems like a great improvement from Office 2003, by some reviews done by PCMag. You can see a whole bunch of screenshots of Office 2007 beta.

A couple of months ago I subscribed to the google analytics program that tracks the number of visitors your site/blog gets. But you can’t subscribe automatically they need to send you an invitation code, so I waited and waited until I got tired of waiting and decided to get another program called mint, which costs $30, and google analytics is free. And just my luck the mintute I bought mint I get an email from google saying I got the invitation code, how ironic is that?

I just found out that the new version of Firefox 1.5.0.4, which isn’t released yet. But found a way to get this new version not a beta. I just changed the link from the old version of Firefox from 1.5.0.3, to the new one 1.5.0.4, and it worked!
