SpeedTest.net is by far the coolest looking and the fastest loading speed test server, it loads up with a cool looking map of the world with test servers in the most popular cities and you click on the city to your connection. Today was the first day of the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference(WWDC), and Apple announced their new lineup of the highend Workstation the Mac Pro, which has two 2.66GHz Dual-Core intel Xeon processors, and adds up to be a very powerful 5.3GHz proccessor, and only starts at $2,499, and can also be upgraded to a Dual-Core 3GHz, for a 6GHz processor, which is just insane. Just yesterday Lycos announced they are giving away 3GB of storage on there beta email service and today AOL ups the ante and announces they are going to give away 5GB of storage via XDrive which AOL aquired last year. Now anyone with an AOL email address or and AIM account, can get the 5 gigs of storage, and just yesterday I posted the story that AOL will be giving their AOL services away for free (more…)

Earlier today AOL finally announced they will give away there service for free. This has been speculated in the past, but now its clear, anyone can now get a free @aol.com email address. They will only give free AOL service to broadband customers, AOL says “This is the next logical step for AOL to capitalize further on the explosive rise in broadband usage and online advertising,” said Time Warner President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Bewkes. And you thought the Swiss Army knife did everything, well now it does one more thing. It has a built in MP3 Player, the player holds 240 songs, and can display three lines of text on the LCD diplay including the song title and the artist name. The Swiss Beat, thats what its called, it also come with an FM radio. The Swiss Beat costs $215, and don’t forget its not just a knife, or an mp3 player, or a can opener, or a sissor, uhh you get the point.

Many have played around with the firefox 2.0 release candidate but now its officially in the beta stage. Here is a whole list of whats new in this release of firefox 2.0 beta.
