TheBlogJoint.com has a New Design
posted by: Vlad AkilovIt has been over a year since I have tinkered around on this blog in terms of the design. So, I thought it was about time to get a new design here. It is a totally new design, which I designed from scratch, by myself, and was coded by xHTML Master (Awesome services, highly recommend) into a wordpress blog. Some of the new features are a brand new logo to give a new identity to this blog, new colors, all RSS Subscribers can easily subscribe via E-Mail or regularly, which the links can be found on the top right corner. And made the site advertisement friendly, and not to mention unobtrusive.

Please feel free to add some of your thoughts and comments on the new design, as they will be greatly appreciated, even if you have negative comments I would love to hear them to better improve the design for the readers. Also please email me or leave a comment if their are any bugs you find or just something that doesn’t work correct.

@ jez: Thanks for the comment, I am glad to hear you like the new design. About the integration of the new design, it was really easy, I tested the new design on a test server, and checked that all plugins worked correctly. And it all worked fine, so then I just switched the design in my Wordpress Admin.

I like this website design, my blog is still stuck on the basic K2 styling, which I really need to change - but I can’t be boethered. The only thing I would say about this thing is that I am not to keen on the logo or colours (the red looks too pinkish for me - personal opinion though), but other than that it looks pretty nice. Well done on that.

No problem. Whenever I see a post on a blog I like, I leave a comment - it gets me link-love and it gets you comment-love! Hehe.

This is very nice template, I like the design. I don’t think there is any need to have amendments, at least not at the moment. If you think that people are use to it and now need something more then you can think of upgrades.

I think design changing needs to be done periodictly as this can prevent reader’s boredom.
