Just yesterday Lycos announced they are giving away 3GB of storage on there beta email service and today AOL ups the ante and announces they are going to give away 5GB of storage via XDrive which AOL aquired last year. Now anyone with an AOL email address or and AIM account, can get the 5 gigs of storage, and just yesterday I posted the story that AOL will be giving their AOL services away for free to anyone, this will all go into effect sometime in early Septemeber, when AOL will make it free to the public.
